Re: Demand Vs CRP Vs Bottleneck Resource

Hi Sir:

I want to add few more points on my requirement.

As i said earlier "The system extends the time of planning based on the quantity to be produced". This is logically Ok, since both are propositional to each other.

My problem is the system takes the capacity requirement to the next day. I want it to show as a overload on the same day as 12H on DAY 1 in the below example.

Simple Example,

On DAY 1, I a have a demand for 10 qty on a material who’s processing time is 12 hrs. Per 10 qty.

For this case CM50 will behave as below,

Demand  -   Required Capacity   -  Avail. Capacity  -  Remaining   -  Cap. Loaded %

DAY 1                 8H                       8 H                   0 H                 100

DAY 2                 4 H                       8 H                    4 H                   50

Such that it shifts the Non-completion Work Order qty. to the next day of the work center.

To meet my required CM50 should show the below result,

Demand  -  Required Capacity  -  Avail. Capacity  -  Remaining  -  Cap.Loaded %

DAY 1               12 H                       8 H                        -4 H               150

DAY1 is the delivery date.

If i get a figure like Capacity Loaded is 150% or 100 + % as shown, i can go for corrective action like additional machine purchase etc.,

As-a-whole, whatever happens that should be within DAY1(i.e.,Demand date and supply should be met on time)

Awaiting for your valuable comments...

Dinesh.
