I had suggested use of % overdelivery tolerance. However, the business feels they would lose control over accurate planning and execution on part of the production crew, also losing flexibility in changing the order quantity.
Questions:
What are the effects of over/under delivery tolerance on material and capacity reservations for the production order?
Also, under normal circumstances how is material/capacity reservation calculated for a order quantity and how does changing order quantity during production affect material and capacity reservation?
