Make characteristic mandatory in MSC1n

Dear All ,

Hi

I have a batch class (023)  assigned to material master with characteristics.

How do I make this characteristics mandatory so that the user has to enter value compulsory with a characteristic value in MSC1n?

I have already set characteristic is mandatory in CT04 but the system still lets me create new batches without an error message only Pop up window is coming . .
