Check the value of field "batch entry" on the material master. You have the following values for this field:
| Batch in goods issue; no confirmation required | |
| 1 | Manual batch determination required upon release of order |
| 2 | Batch not required in prod./process order; confirmation reqd |
| 3 | Automatic batch determination upon release of order |
If you set value 3 batch determination should be carried out during the order release.
