The variant configuration material should have the material type KMAT and strategy group 25.
Even if you've given 10 as strategy type the system will not restrict you from entering values in the sales order. It will restrict only the further proceedings of MRP process (Ex:- Planned Order generation).
Kindly check whether the 'Not Ready for Input' field is checked or not in CT04. If it is checked, please un-check the same and try once.Image may be NSFW.
