i do agree about your points but we still want to use reorder point on top of safety stock.
OK, It is common to use V1 with Reorder Point and Safety stock.
Even we don't want to use type V1 because it trigger MRP if current stock falls below reorder. Per our requirement we want MRP to consider future receipts/ issue and even stock falls at MD04 on future date then MRP to trigger replenishments.
V1 will trigger replenishments if the net requirements (including external requirements) in the future (between 'now' and the end of replenishment lead time) falls below reorder point. Are you saying it is not doing this?
guess today is 1st March but on April 10 my stock falls at 8 EA in MD04 which is below reorder then MRP should trigger planned order.
In standard V1, this will happen, provided April 10 is inside of replenishment lead time.
It is possible to either modify V1, or create a V1 clone, in which the modified MRP type will respect ALL future shortages, even those outside of lead time. OMDQ
