SAP Release Notes 79684 - Demand Management

Hello and good day

We use the demand management in SAP ERP. By accident we deleted the planned independant requirements ( PIR ) of the previous months.

Now we had the issue that we could not see if the withdrawal quantity is higher or lower than the planned independant requirements.

We used the report from SAP note 79684 and created the report ZBEDREO in our productive system.

After that we could load the previous months and run the report to reconstruct the withdrawal quantity.

The main issue we encounter here was that in months in which the withdrawal quantity was higher than the planned quantity the delta was not

Moved to the previous or next months. According to our Master data settings I would expect the system to behave the same.

And example in our productive System EPA: In November we have planned 2.866 PC. But then we produced more and therefore consumed 4.190 PC

That means that if the situation stays like that, the over production is not compensated from the previous month.

My concrete question would be:

Is there an option to trigger in the program that the over-production deducts the PIR of to the next or previous month?

If that can’t be done via the specific program that we implemented, is there another workaround to overcome that issue?

We don’t want to manually change the planned independent requirements as the basis comes from the long term planning.

So the long term planning that runs daily would overwrite our changes.

Therefore we looking for an option to get the adjustments in the PIR done automatically.
